Intelligent Modular Synchronisation Systems (IMS)

Meinberg’s IMS Series (Intelligent Modular Synchronisation) offers built-in redundancy for synchronisation sources, power supplies and cooling in combination with highly modular slot based chassis, which supports hot-swapping and field-expansion capabilities.

The design of our IMS enclosures allows us to use up to four power supplies (both AC and DC variants can be mixed and matched), two time code receivers in combination with a signal switch module, a CPU board and up to ten I/O slots.

19” Rack Mounted IMS System

Our LANTIME IMS series provides a versatile and modular time and frequency synchronisation solution in 19 inch housing.

An IMS base chassis includes a power supply, a receiver unit, a management and NTP server module (LAN-CPU), with additional slots for input and output modules . The LANTIME IMS M1000 contains four slots for expansion cards, whilst the M3000 has space for 10 expansion card slots. Redundant power and receiver solutions are possible for our LANTIME IMS M1000 and LANTIME IMS M3000.

Our IMS LANTIME 4000 is an ultra-versatile platform for telecom synchronisation applications and can be fully optimised for an ETSI rack (300mm / 21 inches) .

DIN Rail Mounted IMS System

The full-featured DIN rail mount package has one power supply slot, a clock module slot, a CPU slot and two slots for additional input and output modules. Both wide range AC and a 20-72 VDC power supply model are available.

The DIN rail mounting is most suitable for industrial applications or those where rack space is not available.

IMS Modules: Power Supplies, Input Signals and Output Signals for Meinberg IMS Systems

All I/O slots (MRI, ESI and I/O) support any combination of I/O output modules. The selection of readily available IMS output modules provides an extensive selection of output signals, but will be expanded in the future to add more signals and physical interfaces.
