New Mini-ITX AIMB-228 with AMD Ryzen Embedded V-series CPU
Available from APC Embedded, Advantech’s latest industrial-grade Mini-ITX motherboard featuring the first 14nm AMD Embedded V/R-series System-on-Chip (12~54W TDP). With up to 4 cores/8 threads and up to 11 compute units, the new motherboard offers up to 3X more GPU performance.
Furthermore, the AIMB-228 can power up to four independent displays with up to 4K resolution, offering high computing and great graphics performance at low power consumption. This makes the AIMB-228 an ideal platform for a multitude of high graphic performance applications such as digital casino gaming, medical imaging and industrial solutions.
AMD Ryzen™ embedded processor
The AMD Ryzen processor family brings together the breakthrough performance of the AMD “Zen” CPU and “Vega” GPU architectures in a seamlessly-integrated system-on-chip solution that sets a new standard in processing power for next-generation embedded designs. Delivering computing performance up to 3.61 TFLOPS with thermal design power (TDP) as low as 12W and as high as 54W, the AMD Ryzen Embedded SoCs equip system designers to achieve new levels of processing efficiency and design versatility.
Advantech’s AIMB-228 is designed for wide-range DC power source (DC 12V~24V) that offers the flexibility to fit in with a customer’s system design. In addition, the AIMB-228 comes with rich I/O connectivity and multiple high-speed ports, including:

Integrates the latest AMD VEGA GCN (Up to 11 CUs), the IAMB-228 supports High Efficiency Video Coding (HEVC) 10-bit (4K H.2654 and H.264) decode and 8-bit encode, delivering excellent graphic performance. With four independent displays supported by DisplayPort 1.2 and the option to use the Low Voltage Differential Signaling (LVDS) interfaces, AIMB-228 also has many built-in features such as:

The fast and simple setup helps provide instant intelligent edge onboarding, data acquisition and status visualisation at the device operations centre. Power on/off, troubleshooting and mission-critical actions are available at the tap of a button for quick and easy access. Over the air software updates securely send software patches, firmware, software and configuration updates through batch provisioning.
