Best-in-class synchronisation for data centre applications
Technologies from Seven Solutions help deliver high-accuracy synchronisation using the White Rabbit protocol to ensure plug and play sub-nanosecond timing is achieved.
Thanks to the White Rabbit time synchronisation ecosystem, core synchronisation networks can be deployed to provide plug and play sub-nanosecond timing links to top-of-the-rack devices.
For intra-data centre deployments, the solution allows high-accuracy distribution of a time reference (GNSS or other UTC reference) across the data centre with a minimum impact on the time information. Then, the White Rabbit ecosystem supports the most extended synchronisation mechanisms and protocols, as IEEE 1588-2008 (PTPv2), NTP or Pulse Per Second (PPS), for interoperability purposes.
White Rabbit is the reference of the IEEE 1588-2019 High Accuracy (HA) profile and it is compatible with this new technology, allowing the deployment of next-generation time synchronisation networks for finance, telecom, broadcast or gaming applications. For inter-data centre time synchronisation applications in metro area scenarios, White Rabbit devices allow nanosecond-level synchronisation using dark fibres, DWDM or CWDM networks.
