CPU-C15G2: Management and NTP Processor Module
As the central management and control element, the CPU module in an IMS system is responsible for management, configuration and alarm notifications. It additionally provides NTP and SNTP services on its network interfaces. The IMS-CPU model C15G2 comes with an integrated 10/100/1000 Base-T RJ45 port and a 1000Base-T with SFP connector. Additional network ports can be added by installing LNE cards.
CPU-C15G2 offers five times the performance of the single-core CPU C05F1.

IMS-HPS : PTP / SyncE / Hardware NTP Interface with Dual Core CPU
High Precision Synchronisation.
The new generation of the Meinberg time stamping unit provides a future-proof platform for your IEEE 1588 / SyncE / Carrier Grade NTP infrastructure. The high-performance dual-core processor, the 1-step master clock and the 1GE interface with SFP slot supports a very large number of PTP clients.
The HPS offers the ability to support up to 2048 PTP-Clients in Unicast (at 128 Sync/Delay Requests per second), as well as more than 250,000 Delay Requests per second in Multicast or Hybrid mode or more than 400,000 NTP requests per second due to a powerful FPGA-based Packet Generator engine.
