Meinberg announces the meinbergOS web interface, making system management more convenient

Meinberg is pleased to introduce the new meinbergOS Web Interface, which users can use to directly configure and monitor the microSync hardware.

If you count yourself among one of the many satisfied users of Meinberg's robust microSync time servers, you may have only heard in passing the name meinbergOS, the streamlined yet powerful Linux-based operating system powering this sturdy, dependable hardware under the hood.

Until now, most users won't have had much to do with the underlying operating system, instead managing their microSync devices using the versatile Meinberg Device Manager tool.

Designed to make system management so much more convenient with its easy-to-use, attractively designed UI, the meinbergOS Web Interface provides direct access to the microSync's configuration and monitoring features from any browser-equipped device, enabling administrators to tweak signal outputs, install firmware updates, and add or block users from the comfort of a tablet, for example. Configuration panels provide dependable guidance to ensure PTP profile-compliant settings or authenticate NTP traffic for improved security.

A smartly structured dashboard provides the essential information at a glance, including up-to-date information on upstream synchronisation signals and network connectivity, providing assurance that your timekeeping infrastructure is working without a hitch, while an accurate visual representation of the microSync enables users to easily identify which signals are output through which physical ports and effortlessly access the corresponding configuration page with just a click on the port.

APC is the exclusive distributor for Meinberg in the UK and Ireland. As a recognised global leader in time synchronisation, their core strength is flexibility, with built to order systems that exactly fit into your environment and address your specific project requirements.
